Moghul jewelry is exceedingly rare, having been "recycled" for its pure gold and fine gemstones during centuries of war and political upheaval. This exquisite example of Persian artistry has a central floral motif set with diamonds on a pavee of rubies. Each of the eight points of its star are set with diamond., sapphires, an emerald, a carnelian, a topaz and a pearl. The finely detailed back features a champlevee design of a bird and floral motifs. Circa 1630.

This 26-inch tall Persian brass candlestick dates from the end of the Sixteenth Century to the beginning of the Seventeenth Century. It is in superb condition and color and has only a small drill hole at the base that allowed it to be mounted as a 46-inch tall lamp. It is approximately nine inches in diameter at the base.

Dating from around 700 to 500 B.C., his jaunty little antlered figure is an excellent example of Luristan (Western Iran) bronze art. Pierced for suspension, it is in beautiful condition, with a clear dark-green patina, and is approximately 1-1/2 inch high, exclusive of the (recent) ivory stand.
