In high relief and superb detail in the French Empire style is this Russian tribute to the Bourbon Restoration of 1818 after the downfall of Napoleon I. The piece is struck in two segments: the central medallion and its separately-cast frame, featuring a ring of fleurs-de-lys. In Cyrillic letters the artist's name, Lotadick, is on the underside of the bust. Russian, circa 1818. Main body of the plaque, exclusive of the ring attachment, is approximately 4-3/4 inches in diameter.

An inspired and humorous sculpture by noted contemporary sports artist Jenness Cortez, this little dude radiates vitality. The cold-painted colors on the bronze bring it even more to life. In pristine condition, it measures approximately five inches by 3-5/8 inches by 8-1/4 inches high, exclusive of its 3/4-inch marble base and is number 27 of an edition of 50, with Cortez's signature and copyright mark and date 1986.
