Elegantly graceful and in beautiful condition, this rare pair of classical sterling silver cups bear hallmarks that indicate that they were created by a Lisbon silversmith at the end of the Eighteenth Century. In crisp condition, the bright-cut engravings depict floral festoons encircling a frontal oval blank (never engraved!) topped by a basket of flowers. Approximately 3-1/4 inches at the widest point and 2-5/8 inches high, they weigh a bit over six ounces Troy.

An excellent example of Neo-Rococo design is this Scottish sterling silver coffee pot of baluster form, hallmarked by James McKay, Edinburgh, 1847-48, with its sweeping ogee ivory-insulated handle and corresponding spout. It is approximately 12-1/2 inches high and 9-1/4 inches at the widest points and is superbly engraved with a Rococo “R” on one side; the condition is mint.

Beautiful crescent-shaped sterling silver decanter labels are enhanced by bright-cut designs and the content designations, "SHERRY" and "PORT" and retain their fine, hand-wrought chains. Deceptively heavy at 23 Troy ounces, this superb object is finely designed and detailed. Manufactured by Towle Silversmiths around 1910, and marketed by Theodore Starr of New York City, it is approximately 9-1/4 inches in diameter and 6-1/2 inches tall to the top of its handsome swing handle.
