| With a repertoire designed for the American Market, this Swiss cylinder music box offers 10 airs: popular numbers Willie, We Have Missed You; I’m Off To California; Hail, Columbia; Ill Wear The Trowsers, Oh!, and Kiss Me Good-bye, Darling, as well as classical favorites Noces d’Olivette (American title Merimac (sic), You Shall Be A Clipper, and pieces from classical favorites of the day: The Mascot (Audran), Les Georgiennes (Offenbach), Guilleme Tell (Rossini) and I Lombardi (Verdi). It is in superb condition, with no breaks or repairs. The case is in ebony and other exotic wood veneers and retains its carved keyhole escutcheon of elk-horn. Circa 1865.
