| This is a superb example of bamboo work: a food container from Mindanao Island, Philippine Archipelago. The central body is strengthened by bands of woven rattan that are, in turn, supplemented by finer-woven band forming supports, an elaborate handle and an implement holder. Probably early Twentieth Century, approximately 12-1/2 inches tall by five inches in diameter. A beautiful addition to any collection of Oceanic art. | |||||||
