Japanese Satsuma koro with shi shi by Suizan

The form of this incense burner is quite unusual. There are four lobes, each with a different scene. On the cover is a nicely detailed shi shi or foo dog above carefully enameled floral and geometric reserves. It is in excellent condition with few signs of wear. It dates about 1890 and measures 4" x 3.5".
