Large egyptian faience shabti for Ipethemetes.

Egypt, Late Period 664-323 BC. Large green faience shabti for Ipethemetes. Turquoise glaze, standing with braided beard, nice facial details, arms crossed carrying pick and hoe and a basket on his back. Inscribed with eight horizontal bands of hieroglyphs for: Ipethemetes The Inscription reads as follows: 'Illumination of Osiris, Ipethemes, born of HathoreMachet, justified. The name Ipethemes (The Goddess) Ipet is her majesty'' Hathoremachet. Hathor is on the horizon. Intact. Size: 15,5 cm H. Provenance: - Ex- Private English collection. Price: 1600 euros.
