Roman bronze oil lamp, Museum Exhibited.
Roman Empire, 2nd - 3rd century A.D. Cast bronze lamp in the form of a human head, the nozzle protruding from his mouth. Relief facial features include a hairdo of v-shape rows and almond shape eyes. Ring handle below a foliate thumbrest. Areas of blue-green surface patina. Missing base plate and covers, otherwise intact. Size: 11.7 cm L. Provenance: - Ex- Lemonopoulos Collection, Florida (USA), 1980. Exhibited: - Tampa Museum of Art, Tampa, Florida (USA), 1995-2010. Ref:RB1. Price: 3000 euros.
