| This very old amazing Japanese Samurai Scroll is an incredible 82" (entire scroll) It depicts two samurai on an upper castle balcony overlooking two samurai leaving for battle below. One is mounted upon his horse and the other walking along side. It has wonderful detail down to the shoji in the background, the carpet hanging over the balcony, detailed armour, facial features and great detail on the horse. It is painted in water color on silk. Some minor age staining on upper left corner that does not detract from the beauty. Age:unknown. This style is seen most often from late 1600's to late 1700's. | ||
