This Chinese pink glazed vase is a mid 19th century product. The entire body is covered with a soft rosy pink glaze, commonly called du Barry rouge. The Chinese name for the shape of this kind of vase is “Tian Qiu Vase” 天 球 瓶. It is 8” high and 5” wide measured from the widest part. It has an honorable “Yong Zhong” 雍 正 (1723~1735) mark on the bottom. It is in excellent condition. More detailed photos are available.

The three legs are the form of Chinese mystical beast’s 饕餮 (Tao Tie) face and claws. The two handles are the image of Pi Xiu 貔貅 and the top is a form of Foo Lion.
