This mid-20th century carved wood incense holder is 12” high and 2” in diameter. There are four dragons carved in openwork relief coiled around the cylindrical body of the incense holder. It is in good condition.

This very nice boxwood statue with a fitted hard wood base is a mid 20th century product. It depicts a legendary Chinese figure called Ji Gong with one hand holding a wine bottle and the other hand petting his pet lion. It is 9 ½” high (with base is 10 7/16” high), 7 ¾” wide and 4” thick. As the story goes, Ji Gong was a Buddhist of the Southern Song; his dates are 1148~1209. His original name was Li Xin-Yuan. He came from Tai-Zhou in modern Zhe Jiang province, Lin-Hai county...

This 1950~1960 carved wood fisherman is 7” high, 2 ½” wide and 2 ¼” thick. It depicts a smiling fisherman holding the catch of the day. The pant leg is rolled up on his left leg; so, he looks like he just walked out of the water. It is in great condition.

These well-carved hardwood Luo Han statues are about 8 1/4 inches tall, 6 inches wide and 4 inches in depth. They were carved around 1950. One is holding a 7 storied pagoda; the other is holding a four sided vase. Both have inlayed eyes, but the latter is missing his right eye. They are in good condition.
