This Qing Dynasty Kang Xi Period (1662~1735) blue and white plate is 10” in diameter and 2” high. The interior of this plate depicts a living room scene; a couple are sitting on chairs chatting and a young maid is standing near by. Eight symbols which represent the Eight Immortals and multiple plants are around the center living room scene. The rim is decorated with peach and textile patterns. Multiple floral, peach, textile patterns and four Shou characters (SHOU, means longevity) are decorated outside the plate. There is an honorable Ming Dynasty Cheng Hua mark on the bottom. Aside from a few blisters, chips and one hair line crack due to its age and firing, it is in excellent condition.
