| This early guinomi (sake cup) in the Shigaraki style with fine clay flavor was made by Tsujimura Kai (1976~). Kai is the son of the famous, some say notorious, Tsujimura Shiro, one of the master clay artists currently working in Japan. Kai has mastered Shigaraki, Iga, Karatsu and Kohiki styles. The cup is 2 ¼” high and 2 ½” wide. The artist’s signature is on the top of the original wood box and his mark is on the bottom of the sake cup. It is in excellent condition. | ||
