| This beautifully fired celadon tokkuri (sake bottle) was made by Minegishi Seiko (b. 1952). Minegishi is one of the finest artists currently working in the style in Japan. His trademark fluted skirt appears around the base of the sake bottle. Another characteristic feature of his work is the lovely cracked ice pattern in the surface of the glaze which sets it apart from the work of others working in the celadon style. His work is always in demand due to the high quality, high loss during firing and creativity of his work. The sake bottle is 6 ¾” high and 4” wide from the widest part. The artist name and seal are on the top of the original wood box; his name is on the bottom of the sake bottle. It is in excellent condition. | ||
