This Sekki (unglazed) style gray and blue guinomi (sake cup) was made by noted Japanese ceramist Mihara Ken (b. 1958). The guinomi has angular cut kodai (foot) and lustrous surface on the blue portion. Mihara Ken is winner of numerous prizes and is widely exhibited in Japan. His work is influenced by Japanese Yayoi and Sue ware. It is 1 ½” high and 2 ¾” wide. . It comes with a signed box and it is in excellent condition.
