| This is a very nicely fired and shaped sekki style (unglazed) stoneware yunomi (tea cup). It can also be used as a traveler's chawan. The tea cup which has blue and gray with orange highlights was made by the noted Japanese ceramist Mihara Ken (b. 1958). He is a past winner of the Tanabe Museum's "Modern Tea Forms Exhibition" and other prizes. His works have been exhibited in the US and Japan and are influenced by ancient Japanese Yayoi and Sue ceramic traditions. The tea cup is 4” in diameter and 3” high. It is in perfect condition and comes with a signed box. | ||
