This very finely shaped and fired Bizen Hidasuki style guinomi (sake cup) was made by third generation Bizen potter Koyama Shingo (b. 1964), son of Shingo Issou II. Though a younger potter, he has won numerous awards and is well exhibited in Japan. He studied under Kaneshige Sozan, the brother of Living National Treasure Kaneshige Toyo. The cup is 2 1/8” in diameter and 2 1/8” high. It is in perfect condition and comes with a signed box.
