Early 20th Century Venetian Art Glass Wall Sconce, attributed to Barovier. Temporarily wired with display electrical cord which will be removed before installation. Light is crystal clear art glass with much included gold leaf through all pieces. Two quilted, round bowls with diamond-pointed, tool-worked edges hold the lights, and are attached to hollow, twisted serpentine crystal, gold-included rods which attach to the wood form; gold-painted wood form is completely covered with form-fitting crystal and gold apron which has wide rows of applied rigaree with pinched tool-work, and two additional matching attachements at the base, all with much included gold. Six removable crystal with gold pieces--three large leaves which drape over the center front, and two side edges, two tall leaves on either side, and one tall flower in the center front, all with twisted, gold-included stems. Approximately 15" side-to-wide, 8-1/2" front-to-back, 14" center flower-to-lowest hanging piece. We have the mate to this sconce, although it is damaged; please inquire. Additional photos available.
