| Pair of Antique Japanese Akasuke (red, pigeon blood) Cloisonne Vases, in basse-taille (relief pattern in copper and under the glaze) bamboo design, on the front and back of each vase; both are in Ginbari (dimpled, foiled background). Each is signed via impressed diamond symbol which appears to have the letters, "OPU" inside; and the maker's name, "Yamamoto, Cloisonne" also impressed on the base rim. Gold mounts. They include their own, original wooden stands; 4.75" tall without the stand, 5.25+" with the stand, 2" rim & foot diameters, 3" largest diameter. Both in excellent condition with only two, very minor issues; one has a single crack in the base glaze, and the other, a small dent in the rim (pictured). c. 1900-1920. [black stand on left not included] [please enter "cloisonne" in our search box for more items] | |||||||||
