| Rarely available,Three antique German Sterling Silver Serving Spoons, with Gold Vermeil Bowls (gold wash), elegant basketweave Reticulated handles in floral and swirl motif. 7-3/8" long, and bowls are 2-5/8" x 1-1/2". The prestigeous German Hallmarks of Koch & Bergfeld, of Bremen, Germany, founded 1829. Koch & Bergfeld are known to have made some outstanding pieces of sterling silver, including rare sheet silver pieces, some of which sell today at auction for over $4,000 per item. Koch & Bergfeld Silver was not only treasured in Germany, but also in Czarist Russia, Scandinavia, Austria-Hungary, Italy, Spain and Portugal. It is certain, however, that these pieces were owned in Germany, as the owner's German name has been impressed quite small, in block letters, on the reverse side of the bowl of each spoon...."C. Dahmen," (pictured) providing a traceable provenance. We are very pleased to offer this trio of wonderful Koch & Bergeld GOLD VERMEIL, Sterling Silver spoons with the 19th Century K&B HALLMARKS of the large, crossed "I", "800," the crescent, and of course, the crown. All three medium-sized Serving Spoons are in excellent condition. c. 1884-1910. $12 US Shipping. | |||||
