Printed & Col.d by J. T. Bowen, Phil." Lower left, "Musk Rat Musquash, Old & Young, No. 3, Plate XIII, Drawn from Nature by J. J. Audubon F.R.S. F.L.S., Drawn on Stone by R. Trembley, Printed by Nagel & Weingaertner N.Y., Colored by J. Lawrence." The Octavo Edition of The Quadrupeds of North America, had an estimated 2000 subscribers to the first edition.
