Center right, "Leopard Spermophile, No. 8, Plate XXXIX, Drawn from Nature by J.J. Audubon F.R.S. F.L.S., Drawn on Stone by R. Trembley, Lith. Printed & Col.d by J. T. Bowen, Phil."

Lower left, "Musk Rat Musquash, Old & Young, No. 3, Plate XIII, Drawn from Nature by J. J. Audubon F.R.S. F.L.S., Drawn on Stone by R. Trembley, Printed by Nagel & Weingaertner N.Y., Colored by J. Lawrence."

The Octavo Edition of The Quadrupeds of North America, had an estimated 2000 subscribers to the first edition. All three are hand-colored. All three are circa 1849-1871.

Measurements: 6-5/8" x 9-5/8", framed in wood, under glass to 7-1/4" x 10"
Condition: Good, all have darkened, and all have some foxing. $16 US Shipping.
