| Vivid Cadmium Yellow, small, footed serving bowl, "Tazza," on gold-included crystal stem with foliate foot. The piece in its entirety is synonymous with a whirling, ribbed "flower, attached to a leafy glass stem." The metal is likely gold-plated; the yellow and white cased (2 layers of glass) bowl retains the center, interior pontil, which was polished and smooth (and slightly convex). At the center underside, the yellow emits orange near the center (could not quite capture in photos), and we also view a few age-confirming interior bubbles. This is a luscious small piece, in a scarce color. 4.25" (10.79 cm) tall, 4.5" (11.43 cm) rim diameter, 5" (12.70 cm) largest diameter. Excellent condition, with only minor oxidation to the rim, and a stem which was placed just slightly off-center at manufacturing. c. 1910-1930. | |||||||||
