Dark green leather-bound book; "privately printed for members of The Library for American Freedoms," in 2000. Edited by Wayne LaPierre, 85 essays on the Constitution of the United States, which originally appeared in several New York newspapers between autumn of 1787 and spring of 1788, by Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, and John Jay. Considered to be one of the most important collections of documents in the history of the American Republic. This book is a "must" for every lawyer. 418 pages; the final page reads: "This special edition of THE FEDERALIST has been privately printed for members of The Library of American Freedoms. Film was prepared from an original 1937 edition. The book was printed and bound by Quebecor World. Binding leathers are furnished by the Cromwell Leather Company. Endleaves are heavy marbled paper. Edges are gilded and spines are brass-die stamped in 22-karat gold. Cover stampings and design of the edition by Selma Ordewer." Excellent condition. $14 US Shipping.
