Intriguiging Russian Watercolor, a study, and the artist's version of one of the famous and ancient "Mummy Portraits," from Egypt. Caption reads: "Ogecca., 1969" for the Russian-Ukraine city of the artist, located on the Black Sea; "B. Cagobou," the Russian spelling of the artist's name; "V. Sadovoi" the translation of the artist's name, and "Portrait from Fayum" written in Russian. Image is 7" x 9.5" (17.78 x 24.13 cm); matted and framed to 14" x 16" x .50" (35.56 x 40.64 x 1.27 cm). Excellent condition, with a small, correctible wrinkle at the top mounting. c. 1969. $25 US Shipping.
