Exquisitely adorned elegant, Drapery Panels; mirror image, raised and padded embroidery in 18th Century pattern resembling Louis XVI style, along most of the lower hemline, running to the uppermost border. The embroidery was created by hand and has been authenticated by two experts in the field of textiles & embroidery,** in the "raised rope stitch." Modèle antique de Louis XVI, panneaux brodés somptueux de draperie de velours. Each panel is 82" x 44" (208.28 x 111.76 cm); fully lined, with recent stiffening tape along upper edges. Note that the width of the panels is not fully extended in the photos; they will extend about another 18 inches (45.72 centimeters) each from the outside edges. Depending on the light, the color of the nap varies from apricot, to pink, to melon. Wear appropriate to age including scattered fading and pile losses, although in overall amazingly excellent condition.
