| Seafoam green art glass Casket, puffed swirls of matte, iridescent glass, decorated in thick, two-tone handpainted gilding, which is outlined in raised, white enamel. Three floral buds encircle the piece, while a large flower and ribbons adorn the lid. Brass fittings. The center of the large flower on the lid is silver, petals and ribbons are brilliant and mat gold. Could have been created by any of the major European glass makers of the Art Nouveau period -- Bohemian, French, German. 4.5" diameter, 3" tall. Excellent condition with some gilding wear, and perhaps some old touch-ups; some oxidation to the fittings. c. 1890-1920. $14 US Shipping. | |||||||||
