Portraits in Oil, on round board, the male diameter being a little larger. Undoubtedly a colorist, as well as a highly skilled painter created these two fine pieces of art, capturing the strong character of the individuals. Note the attention to detail in the faces. There are holes in the center back, the purpose of which is not known. Both signed, "J. Lawler, 1937." Female is 10" (25.40 cm) diameter, by .75" (1.90 cm); male is 10.25" (26.03 cm), by .75" (1.90 cm). Excellent condition, age wear to the "frames." c. 1937. $25 US Shipping. |
