| Exquisite 19th Century Faceted, Ormolu, Gold-plated Metal, Jeweled Scent Bottle, Made in Austria (see label) of Austrian Amethyst crystal, and Austrian crystal jewels. The largest jewel, round, in center front, is flanked on both sides by cornucopias which are filled with fruit; emerging from behind each, is a ferocious, fanciful creature that most resembles a lion. Other decoration includes intricate scrolls, shell and acorn border, and finally the Greek key pattern around the base perimeter. "Austria" is stamped into the metal on the verso (not pictured). We continue to research the maker, although we are certain it is one of the finest, owing to the superb quality of both the glass and the metalwork. 4.5" (11.43 cm) tall, 4.25" (10.79 cm) wide, 2" (5.08 cm) deep. Stopper may be a replacement, and neck may have been ground down, both looking quite good. Excellent condition. c. 1885-1900. $12 US Shipping.
