8 pieces from collection of “ormolu” including a “Virgo” Multi-finish medallion with mounting screw and pin on verso; one six-sided repousse piece showing a seated woman in gossamer, surrounded by putti, all upon what appears to be clouds, and the putti playing with spheres, probably “planets;” one male figure with drape who appears to be fleeing from the second, perhaps menacing smaller figure, another tiny bird-like creature on his opposite side; one Egyptian style chimera, thick and heavy; three thin oval frame-like pieces decorated upper and lower with shells; and one pierced and engraved piece in fleur-de-lis pattern. MEASUREMENTS: Virgo is 3" x 2.5" (7.62 x 6.35 cm); six-sided female with putti is 3" x 1.75" (7.62 x 4.44 cm); male with figures is 1.50+" x 1+” (3.81 x 2.54 cm); Chimera is 3" x 2.5" (7.62 x 6.35 cm); ovals are 2.5" x 1.75" (6.35 x 4.44 cm); pierced piece is 4.50" x 1" (11.43 x 2.54 cm). CONDITION: Very good condition generally, although each item has small imperfections, and/or minor damages, and/or losses, and none should be considered as being perfect. All need cleaning. c. Pieces vary from late 19th Century to early 20th Century. |
