American carved oak wooden stool, finely carved seat face with stylized leaf relief. North Carolina ca late 19th century. Attirbuted to Biltmore artisans of Asheville region.

An American work table made of solid walnut, early to mid 19th century, likely ca. 1840. Features chamfered bottom, dovetailed drawer also of solid walnut and the most interesting legs, which softly curve from a square shape into a curved French or Biedermeier style upturned foot. Originally sold as a Lower Mississippi River Valley piece, it may also be Texas origin. Relates closely to documented Texas Hill Country examples, probably German cabinet made in that region mid 19th century...

Seventeenth century British William and Mary mirror, ca. 1690 or so, in fine burl walnut veneers, with what appears to be original wood backing and forged iron hook hanger and a replaced but very old mirror glass. Indicates it at one time may have had what was probably an elliptical or rounded crown attached, now long gone. A fine period piece with wonderful glow in delicate smaller size.

Exceedingly rare Heywood-Wakefield stool in golden oak ca. 1897 to early 20th century. Turned oak spindles, caned seat, and remnants of original label under seat. Height 26 inches, width 14 inches.

Circa 1850s Empire Gilt Bronze-Mounted Mahogany Gentleman's Dressing Mirror, featuring a fantastically aged, arched mirror on rectangular supports, mounted with gilt-bronze candlecups. The base features a one drawer case with canted corners on a plinth base. Height 25 3/4 in., width 22 in., depth 9 3/4 in.

Continental oak valuables chest in attractive petite scale, with traces of stained red pigment along the wide dovetailed corners. Featuring original iron hasp on front and original iron studs. Possibly Spanish, early 18th century, possibly 17th century. Slight chip to one corner of thumb-molded base. Iron handles may be original or period replacements. Measures

18TH - 19TH CENTURY PORCELAIN MUKOZUKE IN FISH FORM Superb pair of blue and white Arita or Imari Japanese porcelain mukozuke, wonderfully decorated in vivid blues and featuring upswept porcelain formed tails which serve as handles. Measuring about 5" by 3" wide by about 2" high at the terminating point of the tail. Blue floral design in cavetto. Reverse is unmarked, mail is painted blue underneath as well. No cracks, repairs or discolorations.

French Louis Phillip period mirror late 19th century. Original wood backboards, gilt over gesso on wood frame in a nice small example with perfect proportion for that tiny nook.

A fine American Classical Mahogany Commode, circa 1830 and featuring its original marble top over a molded frieze, cross-banded door with shelved interior, molded base and casters. Height is 30 1/4 in., width is 20 1/2 in., and depth 17 1/4 in. A perfect stand for bed or foyer.

Fantastical and rectilinear delight! English tea caddy in single size, featuring exquisite striped marquetry pattern of lighter to darker woods and trim. Rosewood and fruitwood, I believe, possibly hickory as well. Original foil lining interior, original green batten cloth underneath as well.

Fantastic example of this desirable form of hand-carved slingshot from Guatemala and dating to the first half of the 20th century. Fantastically carved into profile of resplendent quetzal, the national bird of Guatemala. Measures approx. 4 inches long. Slight residue on top where original gum rubber deteriorated, easily removed with wax. Superb oily patina from use. Great example. Ca 1930s.
