Circa 1850s Empire Gilt Bronze-Mounted Mahogany Gentleman's Dressing Mirror, featuring a fantastically aged, arched mirror on rectangular supports, mounted with gilt-bronze candlecups. The base features a one drawer case with canted corners on a plinth base. Height 25 3/4 in., width 22 in., depth 9 3/4 in.

A fine American Classical Mahogany Commode, circa 1830 and featuring its original marble top over a molded frieze, cross-banded door with shelved interior, molded base and casters. Height is 30 1/4 in., width is 20 1/2 in., and depth 17 1/4 in. A perfect stand for bed or foyer.

Chinese Export Turquoise Blue-Green Glazed Lion-Dog Figure Kangxi Period, 1662 - 1722 Fantastically rendered, this amusing lion or dog standing on small artemesia leaf, all thickly glazed in turquoise, eyes picked out in black and white. A very challenging glaze to control, this one shows evidence of support underneath. Kangxi Period, circa 1662 - 1722. Sweet form in perfect condition. Measures 4 1/2 " h x 4 " w.

Seventeenth century British William and Mary mirror, ca. 1690 or so, in fine burl walnut veneers, with what appears to be original wood backing and forged iron hook hanger and a replaced but very old mirror glass. Indicates it at one time may have had what was probably an elliptical or rounded crown attached, now long gone. A fine period piece with wonderful glow in delicate smaller size.

Finely made Sheraton Mirror ca. 1830 Pennsylvania or possibly Ohio Valley. Rich tiger Maple with pilasters, roundel blocks, original wavy glass, original backboard. Fantastic, all original piece. Prov. Morris Finkel and Daughter.

An American work table made of solid walnut, early to mid 19th century, likely ca. 1840. Features chamfered bottom, dovetailed drawer also of solid walnut and the most interesting legs, which softly curve from a square shape into a curved French or Biedermeier style upturned foot. Originally sold as a Lower Mississippi River Valley piece, it may also be Texas origin. Relates closely to documented Texas Hill Country examples, probably German cabinet made in that region mid 19th century...

Original 1960 Sisson Blanchard Owl or Buho, hibou. Measures 16x20, oil/acrylic on artist board. Signed on front, dated on reverse with early gallery provenance information. Fantastic example by this early, untrained naïve artist from the first generation of Haiti's greatest painters.

Wonderful ca 1996 Frantz Zephirin painting from Haiti. Measures 16 x 12 inches, acrylic on canvas framed in Haitian craved oak frame. Brilliantly layered feather-like patterns melt in and out of each other as two siren figures merge out of the background. Or are they burning back into the background? Who knows. Wonderfully executed by one of the best Haitian artists of our time.

Fantastical and rectilinear delight! English tea caddy in single size, featuring exquisite striped marquetry pattern of lighter to darker woods and trim. Rosewood and fruitwood, I believe, possibly hickory as well. Original foil lining interior, original green batten cloth underneath as well.

Fantastic specimen collected in the region in 1990's. Splendid depiction of peyote fueled shamanic ceremony near San Blas, Jalisco, Mexico. Huichol indian yarn art uses skilled hands, animistic religious visions, thin natural dyed yarns laid in a beeswax encaustic mixture to adhere the individual threads. Measures 24x24, signed, with complete storyline in Spanish on reverse.

Exceedingly rare laquered wooden food serving tray from Qing dynasty China, probably 17th century. Octagonal shape and with carved feet, raised carved relief panels, very old remnants of red and black lacquer. Fantastic patina and signs of generations of use. Very difficult to find surviving examples this old.
