The lettering on the spine has faded.Joseph Pennell did the majority of the 148 illustrations. The cover has smudges and is a bit faded and the corners are worn. Three pages have separated in the front and a water stain on the side of Preface page runs thru page 11 (which is very faint); pages 350-368 (last page) also have minor water staining...
