An oversized moroccan leather bound book. The cover features a stylized, embossed design. Published by H. & E. Phinney, Cooperstown, NY, 1842. The frontispiece is engraved and there are a total of ten wood-engraved plates, including the frontispiece. Foxing is throughout and the cover shows some wear with age.

A first edition hard cover published by the US Government Printing Office in 1911.Includes memorial addresses on the Life and Character of James Breck Perkins (late a representative from New York) delivered to the Sixty-first Congress, second session.The black boards show wear and staining, there is foxing on the frontispiece with Perkins and also on the title page.
Published in 1925 by the Government Printing Office, Washington, here is a rare copy of memorial addresses given to the 68th Congress.The black silk boards show modest wear with some light smudging. The book is a tad musty otherwise in fine condition. 44pp.

Copyright 1949 and published by James Laughlin at New Directions Books, Norfolk, CT. The book is bound in tan burlap with a paste down printed label on the top right hand corner of the front board. Another printed label is also affixed to the spine. The burlap is splitting 3/4 of the way down from the front board; an endsheet may have been torn out and there is slight splitting between the paste down and the end sheet however, the book is tight/intact...
Historical magazine published in 1970. Primarily black and white photos. Newport Tennis, Providence Showtown, Rhode Island State Houses, Rhode Island School of Design and Kingston's Cultural Heritage are just some of the wonderful articles featured. The cover shows wear appropriate for age with a tiny tear on the front edge and creasing on the upper back edge. Former library copy with no markings.
Anonymous- no date nor publisher. Text is in Italian, German, English and French. There are 40 (vedute) black and white prints (appox. 4-1/2" x 7") of various locations. No marks but two small tears and spots on the cover and one smudge on another page (not on picture) and on the back cover. Silk tie holds the booklet( 9-1/2" x 6-1/2") together.
An interesting first edition published by Harper & Bros. in January of 1920 (A-U).There are double numbers starting on page nine which also has a two to the left. It continues throughout the book- for example page 25 has a three (3) in the corner, page 121 a 9, 137 a 10 up to page 361 which has a 24. The pages have yellowed, there is foxing and page 43 has a small tear. There are also light smudges on some pages..The spine is slightly loose and cocked and the green boards show wear.383pp.
First edition(unstated). Hardcover with brown boards published in 1896 by Houghton Mifflin & Co. Boston. Boards show light wear with the corners slightly worn. Pages 257 thru 262 are creased with a tiny tear on the edge of the pages, otherwise a nice tight edition. Inscribed "Irma 1901" on the free front endpaper. Stories include - Barker's Luck; A Yellow Dog; A Mother of Five; Bulger's Reputation; In the Tules; A Convert of the Mission; The Indiscretion of Elsbeth; The Devotion of Enriquez.
This is perhaps an unstated first edition published by the Three Sister in 1935. The green silk cover on board has some "sunning" on the spine and there is also a small spot on the back cover. The pages are uncut. A name is inscribed on the free paper in ink and a first edition notation is marked in pencil.740pp.
A hard copy with green linen boards written by Edward Bulwer Lytton ( Lord Lytton) and published in 1897 by Little Brown & Co /New York Athenaeum Society. The pages have yellowed, there is a faint halo that runs from the title page to page one. An owner's name is on the front free paper and another free paper has a stamp on it...The corners of the boards are worn and there is a very slight separation between the title and copyright page ( see photo).Uncut pages. 354pp.
