Here is a rare first edition published in 1825 in London by Longman, Hurst, Rees, Orme, Brown, and Green. There are calf boards with a marbled pastedown which has some spotting both on the front and back.The textblock has darkened, the corners of the boards and a section of the spine show modest wear but the book is intact.Light foxing. 303pp. Fine condition for its age.

The purple boards show sign of wear and there is a stain on the fore edge as well as on page 432 and the opposite blank page; also a very small stain on the title page. Please refer to photos. Signed ELLIS in block letters in the lower right corner. A small brown spot is in the upper right corner. Professionally framed and matted under glass. Frame measures 11" x 21"

A charming pastel signed M. Gibert Paris. Framed, there is a title that is obscured by the mat on the left side. The gilt frame is chipped, the picture is fine. The frame measures 18" x 15-7/8".

Here is a companion piece to our other listing by M. Gibert. The title is evident and it is signed in the lower right corner. The frame also shows some wear and measures 18" x 15-7/8".

A lovely transitional etched Art Nouveau~Art Deco case with Czechoslovakian export marks along with FB 900 for silver content. The back has an engine turned design. The inside is smudged, the gilt is worn with stains that do not come out and there is a small raised pinpoint puncture that it is not evident from the outside.There are no bands to hold the cigarettes. It is also inscribed " Olga 2-VIII.XV" ...Weight: 4.5ozs~ 3-1/4" x 3". Sorry no returns- sold as is.

A hand made low grade silver "flower" pendant with 15 faceted natural antique-cut rubies, a single faceted natural emerald, three oval turquoise stones and opaline glass. Three stones are missing, a few rubies are crunched and some are replacements, and the small emerald at the top needs to be secured in its setting. Date unknown, unmarked and the silver untested. This may have originally been a Navratna pendant - a somewhat similar (Nau ratna) pendant is pictured on page 52 of Richard Kuhn's, ...

An authentic document signed by Gov. Alfred E Smith (NY) attesting to the fact that as requested by the Governor of Massachusetts he "surrendered" Fred W. Simmons, a fugitive from justice Dated August 17, 1927 . Smith's signature is in the lower right corner - it is also signed by counsel. The paper is folded and curled at the bottom edge; there are also two small puncture marks in the upper right corner.

One of a kind gypsy outfit with a long, colorful chiffon skirt, matching taffeta slip and a small bustier encrusted with sequins and stones.Made in the early '80's by a New York seamstress who designed for Las Vegas showgirls.The waistbands on both the slip and skirt need to be replaced since they have stretched.

Watercolor signed in the lower right corner H.L.B. and pencilled in on the back Harriet L. Barnecott. Nicely framed and matted under glass. The frame measures 11-1/5" x 16"

Framed and matted under glass, a vibrant watercolor featuring workers in the rice fields. Indistinct signature (Jalin 49 or Jalimus ?). Not examined out of frame. The frame measures 16" x 19-1/2".

A contemporary rose quartz necklace with various stones including citrine, amethyst and peridot, all accented by red glass beads. The melon shaped quartz are approximately 5/8" wide and show some inclusions. Length 19" ~ 135 grams

Six onion shaped salt and pepper shakers marked Sterling 100 with the Depasse(NY) logo. Four are monogrammed and there is a small bump on the bottom of one. The holes (smaller vs larger) indicate that there may be four salts and two for pepper. Sold as is. 1-3/4" (h)

Here is a whimsical piece of folk art, possibly depicting an Australian Cassowary. A plastic coconut shell serves as the body, the feathered tail and headdress are accented by a furry brown material while the spindly neck and legs made from sticks. Unsigned.

A collection of 52 UAW labor pins that date from 1937 thru 1941. There are three additional pins: Textile workers, Ford Drive (1937) and Vote Labor.

A yellow gold Victorian ring that has been resized (see enlarged photo three) but is hardly noticeable since it blends into the design. Unmarked but tested and guaranteed 10kt.

A gold plate crystal and pearl necklace marked SAL for Swarovski. Length 18"

Ca 1920 A wonderful set liqueur cups with etched silver plate holders. The cups are also etched with various designs. Three holders have a daisy and bud motif, four feature holly leaves while the remaining four have bamboo. One glass insert has a rough rim, another has a crack ( see photos) and some of the holders have dark spots inside the plate. 1-1/4"(h) x 1-5/8"(w). Sold as is.

Possibly an unstated first edition. A beautifully illustrated copy in very good condition with red leather boards, embossed flowers and gilt highlights and gilt beveled edges. There is one small spot on the back board also on one page; a few pages have dog ear creases ( see photos).Song lyrics (no musical bars). Published in 1880 by John W. Lovell, New York.

Ca 1960 A textured gold leaf set that includes necklace, earrings (screwbacks), bracelet and brooch. The chain is gold filled but is not original to the piece (signed by DeCurtis). Loran Sim was a Providence jewelry manufacturer active during the 50's & 60's.All items are marked Loran Sim 1/20 12k gf.

Ca 1940 A vibrant watercolor framed under glass and signed Munir. The frame measures 12" x 16"; the picture, approximately 6-3/4" x 11". Not examined out of frame.

A graduated florentine gold plate collar with matching clip on earrings. The collar measures approximately 17" and at its widest point (center)measures 1-5/8"(width). Unsigned.

A bezel set sterling pendant with smooth jasper stone signed by Navajo artisan, Midge Graham (LA with five pointed star). The pendant measures 2-7/8" x 1-1/8" excluding bale. 15.3gr.

Ca 1960 A vintage leather purse with an ornate gilt design on both sides purchased in Florence. The gilt is in excellent condition; the leather interior is somewhat discolored. The other side is nicely embossed. 9-3/4" x 6-1/4'

Here is another Florentine purse that measures 8-3/4" (l) x 7" (w) closed. The purse is embossed on both sides. The leather handles show modest wear.

Featured on page 111 of Costume Jewelers The Golden Age of Design by Joanne D. Ball. Sensational (3) piece set with three- strand necklace and bracelet with spiky brushed gold beads accented by faceted spacers. Strung on string. Marked (crown) Trifari on clasps. The necklace is 18" with an additional 3" extender, the bracelet, 7-1/2". The earrings are for pierced ears and hang 1". The earrings are unmarked.

Ca 1930 A beautiful little vase with deep emerald green ground. The cobalt panels are highlighted by pink, blue and purple flowers. A scalloped design near the bottom is edged in gilt. Modest wear with some paint loss, and a few small nicks and pits (please refer to photos) ... Full brass base and rim. No marks.The colors are brighter due to the flash. 2-1/4" x 4"

An older double knotted strand of malachite beads. The goldwash filigree clasp is marked China. The necklace measures 25-1/2", the beads are 1/4" in width (6.35mm) and the piece weighs 72 grams.

Unusual pair of colorful Copeland vases. Some signs of wear, i.e., a small chip on the base of one and light scuff marks. 7" x 3 1/2"

The bag shows some wear...There is a slight crease/ bulge on the bottom near one foot, wear on the handle and faint white spotting on the bottom that runs up a quarter of the way.. Sold as is. 8" x 11-1/2"

A mixed media collage by Riva Leviten. It features painted paper, part of a headline "Beautiful heav..." etc. Signed 88 Leviten in the lower right corner. The pink plastic frame measures 9.5" x 11" , the picture 5" x 6.5". Her other work, "Cake Dreams", is also on this site.

A small Mid Century unpolished sterling box with wooden insert. Marked 950 Sterling, it measures 3-1/2"(w) x 1-1/4"(h). There is a nick on the top and it doesn't close tightly, otherwise in fine condition.

Here is a rare and wonderful photo collage of scenes from the building of the Alaskan Highway (completed in 1943.) Original snapshots. The center photo highlights what appears to be the official ribbon cutting; sixteen photos surround it. Below is a cartoon of a bear taking a picture of a man. Not examined out of the frame. 13" x 15".

A colorful, vintage print by listed artist, Salvatore Petruolo. The original gilt frame (with glass) shows signs of wear and chipping. The label on the back reads "R.H.White & Co. Boston ...)The frame is 16" x 22" ~ print 10" x 16". Not examined out of frame.

An excellent reference book signed by the author, Charles H. Carpenter, Jr. and published in 1982 by Dodd Meade. The jacket has a few tears ( see photos) however, this hardcover is in nice tight condition. A fine history of the Gorham Company (Providence, Rhode Island) and their silverware products. There are 295 b&w photographs, 8 color plates, 40 photographs of marks, photographs of 313 flatware patterns. 332pp.

A Vision Shared: A Classic Portrait of America and Its People: 1935-1943. Published by St. Martins Press in 1976. Text by Hank O'Neal, photos by Dorothea Lange, Walker Evans etc... This hard cover coffee table book is tight and clean however the dust jacket is tattered. A small stain is also at the bottom of the front beige linen board. Wonderful B&W photos that capture that period in time.

Ca1955 A stunning one- of- a- kind floral necklace with matching clip-on earrings.It features a large multi-dimensional flower with rhinestones, pearls and black enamel leaves. A black glass accent is on the necklace. There is very light wear on the black enamel and one small pearl is missing on an earring. The front of the necklace measures 3-1/2" x 2" and is attached to a 17" snake chain.The clip-on earrings are 1-1/2" round and snap shut tightly. All marked CORO.

Published in 1856 by Ticknor & Fields. Brown calf boards with gilt edging and marbled textblock. Inscription on the free paper. Boards show light wear otherwise a nice tight edition.

An antique colorized engraving (after Jean Honore Fragonard) by Jacques Couche. Housed in an ornate a gold gilt period frame.Height including bonnet 22-1/4" x 13-3/4".

This lot includes McGovern and McGovern~ Shriver pins, lapel pins, bumper stickers and an auction promo.Some of the stickers are slightly musty and curled. The pins are in great shape and vary in size.All sold as is.

A heavy 40" low grade silver necklace. The stones are approximately 1" in length and some show inclusions. Weight 165 grams or 5.8 ozs.

Ca 1940 This boudoir set features a beveled glass hand mirror, comb and brush. All teeth are present on the comb. Quite heavy, it is unmarked and shows very light wear.

A lovely signed "Hand Made in Greece Ikaros Pottery B420" with a small 4 at the bottom. In excellent condition though the rim has a slight imperfection original to the piece that is not noticeable except to the touch. The piece measures 8" (h) x 7" (w). The Ikaros factory was located in Rhodes,Greece and ceased production in 1988.

Stated "One of twenty" prints by illustrator and children's book publisher. Helena Chase Johnson. The print is also marked "For Norman" along with her signature. An interesting note -- Chase owned The Little Hotel by the Sea (located at the Grande Colonial Hotel in La Jolla, Calif.) The hotel boasted of having a beautiful six-passenger mahogany elevator, making it "The Littlest Hotel in the World with an Elevator."

Nicely framed antique print. Light foxing but more pronounced on the edges. The frame measures 13" x 18". Not examined out of frame-sold as is. "In the French engraving Le Lever after Freudenberg, of the 1780s (illustration, right), gentle social criticism is levelled at the lady of the court; that she slept without unlacing her stays, apparently, perhaps can be seen as artistic licence. Her maids dress her with deference, while the wallclock under the hangings of her lit à la polonaise reads n...

A signed hard cover with dustjacket(that shows some wear). Published by Doubleday Doran & Co.,NY 1935. Possibly a later state of a first edition. Signed "With Best Wishes Kenneth Roberts".

A stated first edition, first impression dated October 12, 1901. The green pictoral cloth cover is stained both on the front and back. There is also a water stain that runs along the upper page edge throughout the book (see title page). The pages are uncut and the book is illustated.Published by Scribner & Sons., NY.

An Arts & Crafts style shield brooch by Jensen designer, Laurence Foss. The pin stem needs to be straightened but works and the piece is unpolished. It measures 1-1/2" x 1/2" and weighs 9.8 grams.Marked 629A Sterling L/F. There are no dents, just light wear.

An unmarked but tested 10kt gold enhancer with a lovely emerald cut blue topaz stone. The setting measures 3/8" x 3/8"; including the latch 1". The latch has an inner diameter ( opening of 3/16") so it's not for larger beads.

An eye catching, substantial gold plate bracelet marked SAL. A thick chain attaches each section and there is light wear (spotting) on the back of the bracelet.The bracelet does not lie perfectly flat and measures 7" x 1/2".

A 29.5" lapis necklace interspersed with pearls and 14k gold beads. The c- clasp and gold connector are also marked 14k . The beads measure approximately 6mm.
