An early 20thC oil on canvas by Rhode Island artist, Emma Lavinia Swan ( 1853-1927). This is an unusual and rare scene since Swan is noted from her floral paintings. It appears to have its original black wood frame. Signed in the lower right hand corner. The canvas measures 9" x 9"; frame 17" x 17". Listed/Davenports.

A 19th Century oil on canvas faintly signed in the lower right corner. Tait was born in Cincinnati and went abroad in 1853 with his teacher, William Louis Sonntag. In addition to being an artist, Tait was also recognized as a poet and writer. The painting has craquelure and appears to have an egg tempura varnish. The frame measures 18" x 29", the canvas approximately 12" x 24".

An impasto oil on copper painting by California artist,Ray Thomas Platt. Born in Texas in 1897,Platt moved to California during the 30's with his wife, artist Beulah Bradleigh Platt. Etched on the back"... Trading Vessel off the Coast of Africa The Schooner Melrose..R.Thomas Platt". Plate is 11" x 8-1/2", frame, 15" x 18" Listed/Davenports

An oil on canvas housed in a gilt frame. Faintly signed what appears to be NESS in the lower left corner. There is some in painting in the upper area, and also slight loss to the antique gesso gilt frame. The frame measures 21-1/2" x 31-1/2", the canvas approximately 15-1/2" x 25".

A set of six graduated, hand painted copper plates that were used as mobiles. A few have light flaking. Unsigned.The largest disc measures 5-7/8", the smallest,3"

C 1930 Signed DOMINICAN NUNS. In original frame and matted in green which sets off the picture nicely.The back label reads F.J. Buzzell Artistic Picture Framing, 155 Center Sr, So. Manchester, CT. The picture measures 10 1/2" x 3 78"; the original gold frame 4 1/2" x 12".
