About the Authors:
Ya'akov Meshorer (1935-2004) was the chief curator of Numismatics and also the Bronfman Chief Curator of Archaeology at The Israel Museum, Jerusalem, as well as professor of Archaeology at Hebrew University, Jerusalem. A prominent and well-respected numismatist whose interests covered all the ancient coinages of the Holy Land, Meshorer wrote numerous books and articles on various topics dealing with all the coinage of this area.
Shraga Qedar is a professional numismatist inJerusalem, and a long-time collaborator with Prof. Meshorer.
