This volume covers the history of warfare in the Holy Land from 1200-586 BC. The author, Yigael Yadin (20 March 1917 – 28 June 1984), was a Professor of Archaeology at the Hebrew University, Jerusalem and a Major-General of the Israel Defense Forces. As such he was uniquely equipped to comment on both the archaeology of the region as well as its military history. An excellent text and a must have volume for anyone with an interest in the history of the Holy Land, the Iron Age Levant or military history.
