A MIDDLE BRONZE AGE KRATER ON LOOP HANDLES
Please refer to our stock # P.95 when inquiring.
Middle Bronze Age II B-C; c. 1730-1550 BCE
This vessel is wheel made with thin walls. The body is ovoid in shape with a wide neck and a folded rim. The feet of the krater are interesting in that they are actually three loop handles applied from the low part of the body to the base of the vessel thus adding an aesthetically pleasing touch to an entirely utilitarian vessel.
In very good condition with minor repair to the base.
Height: 17 cm high (6.7 inches); Rim diameter: 10 cm (4 inches)
