c. 5th-6th Century CE
Made in a two-part mold this lamp is extremely well decorated throughout. The ovoid body is composed of a small wick hole and a fill hole with a raised rim and a conical handle. The shoulders are decorated with a stylized foliate design which encapsulates the fill hole. The same foliate design is present on the bottom of the lamp around the ring base, inside of which is a cross.
