Comprehensive catalogue Pharaoh in Canaan: The Untold Story accompanies a major exhibition at the Israel Museum on the subject of Egyptian-Canaanite relations from the end of the fourth millennium BCE until the collapse of the Egyptian Empire in Canaan ca. 1130 BCE. The topics discussed in the catalogue range from the history of the political relations between Egypt and Canaan through the fascinating and at times surprising impact of their cultures on one another. The catalogue is divided into four main chapters, with thirty sub-chapters, and encompasses a total of 66 entries and around 100 illustrations. Some of the entries are devoted to objects from recent excavations in Israel that are published in the volume for the first time.
