| Russian silver and shaded enamel egg, fully decorated with scrolling floral patterns against off-white & powder blue grounds. Measuring approximately 2 1/2" (6.35 cm) in height and 1 7/8" (4.75 cm) across at the widest point, the egg separates into two halves. It seems that the pieces was not marked and has been subsequently "embellished" with spurious marks for Fedor Ruckert. Stylistically, the egg might be attributed to the 6th Artel or other similar makers between 1908 - 1917, but is not a Ruckert piece. In excellent original condition, the egg weighs 2.3 oz (65 grams) and is softly gilded inside. A nice, solid example. | ||
