| Superb Russian silver & shaded enamel kovsh by Nikolai Alexeiev. A voluminous kovsh of exceptional quality, decorated with floral motifs executed in soft hues against autumnal grounds, this item is further embellished with gilded whorls and royal blue fields punctuated with raised silver droplets. Measuring 5 5/8" (14.3 cm) in length and 3 9/16" (9 cm) across the bowl, the interior of the large bowl is softly gilded. Weighing 6.6oz (187 grams), the piece is clearly marked on the base for Nikolai Alexeiev, 88 standard silver and manufacture in Moscow between 1908-1917. In excellent condition. | ||
