| Unusual Russian silver & shaded enamel tazza by Ivan Saltykov, manufactured in Moscow before 1896. Measuring 5" (12.75 cm) across and approximately 4" (10.2 cm) tall, the top surface is decorated in shaded enamel scrolling floral patterns against gilt grounds and bordered with turquoise pellets. The outer lip shows reticulated openwork, similarly decorated with shaded enamelwork; the foot (a separate piece which screws into the table) has a base diameter of 3 1/8" (8 cm) and decorated en suite. Marked on the underside of the table, the tazza weighs 8.14 oz (231 grams). Excellent. | ||
