| A Russian silver & shaded enamel egg by Dmitry Nikolaeiv, manufactured in Moscow between 1908-1917. Comprised of two halves, the exterior of the piece is decorated with beautiful shaded scrolling floral patterns against a stippled, gilded ground, edged with turquoise pellets. Measuring approximately 2 5/8" (6.7 cm) tall and 1 13/16" (4.6 cm) across, the egg is in excellent condition. Marked in the field for Moscow Manufacture between 1908-1917 in 84 standard silver and on the lip for Dmitry Nikolaeiv, the interior shows the original reflective gilding; the piece weighs 2.3 oz (65 grams).
