Superb Russian silver and shaded enamel cup & saucer by Ivan Khlebnikov. Measuring 4 ¾” (12.1 cm), the saucer is enameled in concentric rings of shaded floral patterns, executed in amazing detail around the central reserve for the cup and topped with a shield-form cartouche for a monogram (although this has never been engraved). The cup is enameled en suite and measured 3 3/16” (8.1 cm) tall. Each piece is marked in full for Khlebnikov under imperial warrant, Moscow manufacture between 1908-17 in 88 standard silver. The cup & saucer weighs 7.3 oz (206.3 grams). Despite a small dent to the ring foot of the cup, the enamel is in pristine condition.
