| A Russian silver & pastel-hued enamel footed cup by Pavel Ovchinnikov, enameled in stylized scrolling patterns against gilded grounds between geometric borders top and bottom. Finely executed in unusual colors, the enamelwork is highlighted with contrasting dots and overgilded stars. Measuring 2 5/8" (6.7 cm) tall and 1 7/8" (4.75 cm) across, the cup is in excellent condition and weighs 2.65 oz (75 grams). It is marked for Ovchinnikov under the Imperial Warrant for Moscow manufacture between 1908-1917 in 84 standard silver. A wonderful example. | ||
