| A Russian silver and shaded enamel serving spoon by MoN, Moscow 1908-1917 in the Pan-Slavic style. A round-bowled spoon with a twisted shank topped by a crown finial, this spoon shows the traditional over-gilded decorations of the Pan-Slavic style in an unusually cheerful palette. Emblazoned with scrolling floral and geometric designs against royal blue grounds, the spoon measures 7 ½” (19.05 cm) in length. The end of the shank is enameled en suite in royal blue, offset with quirky yellow teardrop and pellets. Condition: some minor losses to the enamel on the crown finial only. | ||
