| A pair of Russian silver and shaded enamel teaspoons, ornately decorated in the pan-Slavic style by renowned enamelist Feodor Ruckert. Of traditional form, the fig-shaped bowls are decorated with organic floral and vegetable designs and gilded whorls against cream grounds, the patterns over-gilded. Each shank is centered with three grooves and topped with a candy-striped motif, leading up to a crown finial. Measuring 4 7/16" (11.3 cm), each spoon weighs 0.56 oz (16 grams). Both spoons marked for Moscow manufacture, 1908-1917 in 84 standard silver. One spoon clearly marked "FR" in Cyrillic; the "FR" makers mark on the second is indistinctly overstruck. | ||
