I date this adorable postage stamp box to the early 1900's. The ring and jump ring suggest that the box was used on a chatelaine. Now it could be used as an unusual pendant or simply carried in a pocket and used to hold pills. Very secure closure.
Arts and Crafts Movement style lettering.

One tiny dimple on the back and slight dents to the front - consistent with age and usage.
Photos 2 and 3 exaggerate the marks to make them more visible than they are.
