Measurements: Total WEIGHT including stones: 19.4 grams - Necklace LENGTH: 16" - central element: 3" x 1 1/4" - EARRINGS: 1" X 3/4" (greatest width)
While this set is clearly marked "sterling" (not 925 which dates the set before the 1973 hallmarking act) with the maker's mark of LG - I have been unable to identify the full name of the maker...
Measurements: LENGTHS from 3 3/4" to 4 3/4" -
Each dirk design is a characteristic combination of agates such as bloodstone and blue lace, etc. and semi precious gemstones such as citrine and amethyst
Also, each piece is hand engraved with delicate linear designs.
The largest brooch is topped with the symbol of Scotland: the Scottish thistle.
Take a close look at photo #3 to see the marks indicating silver, date, and country of origin.
In fine condition...
Measurements: Total WEIGHT including stone: 5.5 grams - STONE: 14mm x 12mm x 5mm (slight cabochon height) - SIZE: 10 (easily sized)
Clearly marked as 14 karat gold and "Handmade."
The design is very Deco to 1940's - strong, clean engraved lines, To my eye, the design is unisex, but you must be the judge.
The agate is a translucent, soft orange color - subtly beveled edges forming a slight dome or refined cabochon...
Measurements: CUFFLINKS: 5/8" square x 1/4" - TIE CLIP: 1 1/2" x 1/8" x 5/16" - WEIGHT: Links: 13.8 grams - Tie Clip: 8.2 grams
While these cuff links and tie clip are very similar visually, they are signed differently. The cuff links are marked "AJ" Sterling, Taxco, Eagle mark #3. The tie clip is marked 925 Taxco. See photo #5 for the name on the tie clip which I had trouble deciphering.
As with all of my vintage pieces, the cuff links and tie clip were photographed unpolished.
Measurements: WEIGHT including the amber: 21 grams - AMBER: 3/4" square x 1/4" - SIZE: 8.5
Studio designer: initials Z X
Good condition. Large, but very comfortable because of the lightweight amber.
This must be a souvenir of the Grand Tour. The design is Art Nouveau - 1890 - WWI - with lovely swirling wire shapes and the grape cluster design.
Clearly marked as "sterling" - not 925, which also helps date the bracelet.
There was a reappearance of the scarab design bracelet, brooch, watch band, necklace in the late 1940's - 1950's...
Measurements: LENGTH including clasp: 7 1/2" - CLASP: 1" diameter x 7/8" height
A lovely, pale blue color overall with beads ranging in color from translucent baby blue to transparent pale blue white - the pale blue white beads appear to be Venetian. The clasp has three faux opal cabochons, and blue foil rhinestones of various sizes.
The clasp metal is the signature Haskell brass open work...
Measurement: 2 1/4" diameter, 1.5 oz. including stones
Note: The discoloration at the edge of the central turquoise is a bit of dirt which I have since removed.
Signed "Trifari" and "sterling" with the Trifari Crown mark on the fur clip finding. Possibly Philippe.
In very fine condition, without damage, repairs, or replaced stones.
Tight spring closure on the fur clip.
Measurements: LENGTH: 4" - WIDTH: 1 1/2" - slightly three dimensional repousse.
Created in the 1940's - possibly as a pattern for casting sterling brooches - this brooch is silver over copper - photographed unpolished (as always with my vintage jewelry). The discolorations are tarnish and will disappear with polishing...
Measurements: SIZE 6 with a ring guard (if the guard were removed; then size 6.5 - 7.0) - WEIGHT of platinum: 2.5 grams - WIDTH of band: 2mm
Clearly marked as "platinum." Designed with a scribed double rope pattern.
Light wear shown as a softening of the edges.
No damages or repairs.
Wear alone as a wedding band or stack with similar style rings.
Measurements: Total DIAMETER: 2 1/4" - COIN Diameter: 1 1/4" - brooch is slightly domed
I know very little about this particular brooch except that it is a lovely example of the style of repousse copper jewelry popular from 1915 to mid century. The coin (which is probably faux) is worn to a softly blurred surface having been handled for many years.
FYI: Edward VII was the eldest son of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert...
Measurements: 1" x 3/4" x 4mm depth - set into full crescent shaped silver bezels which totally protects each shell.
Each half crescent moon shaped earring is covered with highly detailed silver pique (hand inlaid, very thin silver wire) in a design of stylized flowers, leaves and swirls - a very Middle Eastern influenced design style which is one reason I date these earrings to the very early 1900's - the heyday of the Grand World Tours ...
