Lizard figures were very popular with the Edwardians and Victorians, often appearing on desk blotters, encircling vases, painted on china, etc. - and on jewelry. These two brooches date to the 1920's - 1930's or they could be pre 1900. The open "c" style catch suggests the age...

This brooch is made of copper created using the technique of repousse. I don't know if the coin is really a commemorative coin or a reproduction. However, I do know that he brooch was made during the late 1800's - early 1900's - during the reign of Edward VII. The open "c" catch is another indication of the age of the brooch.
The words surrounding the portrait of Edward read: "Edward VII Dei Gra Britt Omn...

The term "marriage" in jewelry means the combination of disparate parts to create something new. In this case, a sterling, brass, and enamel fish design piece (by the Mexican silversmith E. Brito) was added seamlessly to a high quality Cellini sterling ring (Cellini is known for its high end and high quality jewelry)...

The bouquet is a combination of 4 flowers: rose, forget-me-not, daisy?, and .. their leaves. I consider the color palette to be pastel except for the cobalt blue flowers. Even so, this is the type of brooch appropriate to all seasons, ages and occasions - from work to formal evenings...

E.I.F. & Co. - an early Attleboro, Massachusetts Jewelry Manufacturing Co.
The metal surround is of pinchbeck; pearls are cultured. The lovely golden rope surround holds the painting and its crystal cover. Open "c" catch closure.
I believe that the small loop on the back of the brooch was used to attach a chain for a lapel watch.
The finely detailed painting was done with oil paints...

The maker's mark is mostly illegible to me, though the words "sterling" and "Hecho en Mexico" are very clear. I date these cabochon domed earrings to the 1950's because there is no eagle mark and the .925 number is not used.
The design is of two levels of silver: the oxidized flat base and the cut out dome...

I am dating this unusual brooch to the late 1800's as that is when the type of locking catch was used.
No damages or repairs.
Calling this brooch a scarf or corsage pin is my best guess as I have never seen another of this design, but the central sharp pin under the dome would lend itself to either use.
sold Thank You.
